Pillbox Hike

Hi there! Just sharing with you another of my amazing Hawaiian adventures... hiking at Pillbox! The Lanikai Pillbox Hike is one of the most picturesque hiking trails in Oahu. It is considered an "intermediate" hike which rises just above the gorgeous Lanikai Beach. Despite the steep climb, hikers are rewarded with breathtaking views of Mokulua Islands, Kailua Beach, Lanikai Beach and the surrounding residential properties.

It's a 1 hour or more hike, depending how far you want to go. It's called the "Pillbox" hike because of the old military pillbox bunkers that you encounter during the hike where you can stop to sit and rest and just marvel at the grandiose views.  These Pillbox bunkers are now decorated with some pretty cool street art where I had a blast taking photos at.

One thing to remember, wear the right shoes and bring lots of water because it can get really hot! I had a bad sunburn because poor me forgot to put sunscreen. But at the end of the day, this hike was a truly amazing experience and I was just absolutely mesmerized! Hope you like the photos! =)

Dreaming in Leopard

Hawaii was certainly tons of fun and I had a blast going from one adventure to another. However, there are those days when I really just wanted to take a break and lounge around the beach. Take walks checking out the rocks and just appreciating the ocean. Some days of my two 2 1/2 week vacation, I did just that! I was feeling so tired from all the activities that all I wanted to do was sit around and relax.

On my relaxing beach day, I wore my Iris Impressions Leopard print dress over my bathing suit. It was so comfy and the fabric was so light that it was perfect for the beach. I love how the fabric flowed in the wind too! Check out my photos at the rocks of the Ko'olina Lagoon. It was so beautiful, I could sit there for hours and just watch the waves crashing. Ahhh... Hawaii!!! <3
