FASHION: Marionette Massacre

Photography by Eunice Vallesteros of Purple Dot Photography

Halloween is just around the corner! Do you have your costumes ready?

Instead of my usual fashion outfit posts, I decided to make an outfit post with a little twist to Halloween. Staying away from messy fake blood and zombie makeup, I decided to make it glam with clean makeup and very dark lips.

Eunice (Purple Dot Photography) and I decided to play around with the mannequins I had at home. The ones I use for my jewelry designs. I love how Eunice and I teamed up to make a simple yet classy, halloween glam look!

REVIEW: Vani Facial w/ Diamond Peel & Ultrawhite Mask at Vanity Skin Aesthetics

I have never had a facial my entire life. Seriously! But since I have Vanity Skin Aesthetics in Makati to take care of my skin, I guess it's time I gave it a try. There is always a first right?

Vanity Skin Aesthetics has different kinds of facials. Ranging from as low as only P450.00 to a P1,500.00. For my first try, I went for the Vani Facial with Diamond Peel and Ultrawhite Mask. It was my first time to try a Diamond Peel too so I was so excited! I tried to keep track of what was done but it was quite difficult since I was such in a relaxed mode.

First, all my makeup was removed by my therapist. This felt like a relaxing massage already:

Of course I had to take photos! First step done, photo op done. On to the next step, the Diamond Peel:

I was getting real sleepy by this time. The Diamond Peel felt great and I could just feel like my skin was getting cleaned thoroughly.
After the Diamond Peel, the therapist checked if I had any whiteheads and blackheads, I had some on my nose and a few large ones on my forehead. She did an AWESOME job of taking them out! I looked at a mirror and my face was so clear of tiny bumps from whiteheads and blackheads. This was my favorite part. It hurt bit but it felt so good to take those pesky stuff out!

This was followed by the Ultrawhite Mask which is designed to whiten dark spots and even out the skin color.

After the mask was applied, I was left to relax a bit with the mask on:

Yes, I had to take selfies! The mask felt great. It had a slight cooling effect. After probably 15 minutes (I'm not sure anymore how many minutes exactly), the mask was removed and my face felt soooo clean and smooth! I noticed that my forehead and nose was super clear from the whiteheads and blackheads. My face seemed brighter too! I liked the glow of my skin! I was advised not to touch my face and not apply makeup the entire day.

I am so happy I gave this a try! I would definitely do this again! This facial costs only P800.00... inclusive of the diamond peel! Very affordable right?!

Thank you Vanity Skin Aesthetics! =)

FASHION: With A Smile

"Lift your head, baby, don't be scared
Of the things that could go wrong along the way
You'll get by with a smile
You can't win at everything but you can try."

I just love this song by Eraserheads! I love the positive vibe it gives of a love / friendship that will stay no matter what. For some reason, while my friend Eunice was taking my photos, I couldn't get the song out of my head. Thus, I had a big smile on my face! This song is a good reminder for us all that wherever it is that life may take us and no matter what we go through... WE WILL GET BY. And of course, I love the line ----"You'll get along with a little prayer and a song."

I love this dress from Agetro Trends. It's a boutique in La Union that carries a lot of branded clothing and export overruns. So if you find yourself vacationing / surfing at La Union, this boutique is a must to visit! They also sell online so please check the shop details below this post. I'll be wearing a lot of clothes from this shop for my future posts. I really like the designs they have!

My pretty bag is from the House of K. I am currently their Ambassador for their line of bags. You can check out that story on their blog post, HERE. They don't just carry bags, they have a line of shoes and gadget cases as well.  This bag I'm using is one of my favorites! I also love that it's very sturdy no matter how heavy my stuff is!

FASHION: Give A Dream

Maliche Clothing is a brand that carries designer inspired clothing and low cost RTW's without compromising quality. Maliche Clothing is also a brand that I am so proud to be supporting. GIVE A DREAM --- That is exactly what this clothing brand does.

Maliche clothing supports the Virlanie Foundation. 10% of their profits go to the foundation which aims to take care of children in need and help to support them for their future.

About the Virlanie Foundation:
Virlanie provides children with a home... A family.
12 homes serve as the home to more than 200 children every year. Children can be in a Virlanie Home for as short as a few months to many years depending on their needs. Apart from food, shelter and clothing, Virlanie provides children with opportunities to study, finds ways to try to re-unite children with their famiies (if they are capable of caring for the children), and endeavors to give children psychological intervention, and assistance with their legal cases.
Virlanie, through the help of individuals, organizations and companies provides nutritious meals for all 240 babies, toddlers and children, formal schooling and educational support and psycho-social developmental activities.
This foundation has been able to change the lives of many young people who otherwise, would have stayed in the streets, and would have not developed into responsible individuals.

I really admire brands like Maliche who try to do their bit to help in their own way. Despite how competitive the fashion business is today, there are still people like them who can share what they earn. With a percentage of Maliche's sales, for sure it would be a great help to support the future of some children. Imagine, if all business owners did their own way of helping out others, our world would indeed be a better place.

This gorgeous white dress I am wearing is one of Maliche's best sellers. It is simple, elegant and unique in its own way. I absolutely love it! It is available in other colors too.

The necklace I'm wearing is my own handmade design from my Jewelry line, OLEIC.

Aside from the elegant dresses featured in this post, Maliche Clothing also carries other designs that are casual and very chic. They have a wide variety to suit your personal style.
I'll be featuring something casual from Maliche in a future blog post.

Support Maliche! And somehow you will be able to help children reach for their dreams. =)

PRODUCT REVIEW + GIVEAWAY: Krave Vegie-Lash Mascara

Photography by Eunice Vallesteros of PURPLE DOT Photography

DISCLAIMER: This was sent to me for review purposes. I am not paid with cash or favors to do this review.

Ingredients: Dionic Water, Glycerine, Beeswax, Microcrystalline Wax, Sorbitan Monostearate, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose Propyl Paraben Methyl Paraben, Iron Oxide

This vegetable based mascara claims to have 80% less chemicals, conditions lashes, is smudge proof and is for volumizing and lengthening lashes.

I am not a mascara girl because I absolutely hate taking it off and seeing some of my lashes go with it and waking up with black eyes (GROSS!) But using this product has me converted! I love that it is water proof  but is also not difficult to remove at all. When washed with my facial cleanser it easily comes off and leaves my lashes intact. I also love the results! The packaging says that it is volumizing and lengthening and indeed it is! Here is a photo of the results on my lashes:

and a close up:

Amazing! What a big difference!

What I LOVE:
1. Made with natural and organic ingredients
2. Easy to remove with soap or facial wash but is still water proof. Perfect for the rainy days! I had it on and my face got a bit wet when a slight drizzle started on my way from the mall to my car. I immediately checked it and it didn't smudge a bit.
3. No need for makeup remover to take it off.
4. Really VOLUMIZES!
5. Really LENGTHENS!
6. Lasts all day.

What I DON'T Love:
1. While I love the silicone wand, I wish it were smaller so that I could reach my inner lashes and lower lashes.
2. Can clump if you put on too much.

OVERALL, I really LOVE this macara! I have tried other brands that did not give the results that this one did. I was asked several times if I was wearing fake lashes or had extensions. I'm really impressed at how it lifts my lashes. Most of all I never wake up with ugly black eyes.

And because this mascara is so awesome, I am giving away one Mascara from Skin Kravings, the head distributor of Krave Cosmetics. Want to win it? Join now! =)
