Swimming with the Turtles

Travelling is all about one adventure after another. While in Hawaii, I made sure to jampack as many adventures as I can. From hiking up mountains, waterfalls, skydiving, boating and one of my favorites... an underwater photoshoot where I actually got to see Turtles!

I had the opportunity to have an underwater photoshoot with Makani, who specializes in underwater photography. I have done underwater shots in a pool before but it's my first time doing it in the ocean. I thought it would be as easy as the pool shoot, but big waves and clouds really made the experience difficult but I must say... absolutely worth it!

With protection, Hawaii's reefs have become safe for these beautiful and gentle creatures. There are laws that protect marine life and the turtles should not be disturbed nor touched. They do roam freely in the ocean and when you see them... just be amazed at their beauty and enjoy the lifetime memory of the experience of seeing them.

I am truly thankful to Makani for this amazing experience and for making me feel comfortable diving in the waves. I am so happy with the breathtaking shots he took and I am so excited to share them with you.
